The level of education has a significant impact on the performance of every national economy. Arab governments focus on enhancing the quality of education to meet the demands of economy and offer sustainable job opportunities for the growing number of youth. The German vocational training system is an excellent model for enhancing employability combining both, practical skills and theoretical know-how.
To further strengthen and expand the promising cooperation between the Arab world and Germany, the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and iMOVE, a division of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) has organized the
7th Arab-German Education and Vocational Training Forum
at the dbb forum berlin, Berlin
from October 5th to 6th, 2016.
The event was held under the patronage of the German Federal Minister of Education and Research, H.E. Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka.
The conference has established itself as the most prominent information and networking platform for vocational education and training companies, universities and colleges as well as for public and educational institutions from Arab countries and Germany.
Decision makers from business, science and politics attended again the event and discussed latest trends, projects and cooperation opportunities in the higher education and vocational training sector. This year, renowned speakers focused especially on vocational education and training (VET) projects of the energy and tourism sector, higher education and cooperation in North Africa. Special emphasis has been placed on the attractiveness of VET and on how to find jobs for young graduates.
We are proud, that we again welcomed more than 250 Arab and German decision-makers for science, economy and politics to the 7th Arab-German Education and Vocational Training Forum in Berlin.
